Welcome parents and students, and thank you for your interest in applying for a PGCPS Career Academy.

All Career Academies are boundary based. To apply, a student must live within the school boundary where the Academy is housed. Students cannot apply to out-of-boundary Academies.

For Current PGCPS 8th grade students:

Students will complete the Career Academy application at their current school with their school counselor during the month of March (March 2nd through April 2nd).  The link is provided below. This link works only when opened on the PGCPS server. Students must complete the application at school.

Parents, please update your SchoolMax account with a current email address and physical address. Verification of a submitted application will be sent automatically via email upon completion of the application. Letters of acceptance will be mailed home.

For 8th grade students who are not currently enrolled in a PGCPS school:

A separate link to the application is provided below. In order to complete the application, parents must obtain a student ID number from the office of Pupil Accounting and School Boundaries. For information on how to get a student ID number for a non-PGCPS student, visit http://www1.pgcps.org/pasb/ or call 301-952-6300. The application for non-PGCPS students will be open for the same window of time as current PGCPS students – March 2nd through April 2nd. Verification of a submitted application will be sent automatically via email upon completion of the application. Letters of acceptance will be mailed home.
